The inviting auditorium of the National Conservatory of Music “Germán Alcántara” was the perfect setting for the concert “Ellas” by the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN) of Guatemala, a heartfelt tribute to women.

The concert aimed to honor the dignity of women across all aspects of life. The esteemed OSN was conducted by the talented Gabriela Corleto Orantes, a renowned flutist and conductor. With years of experience conducting symphonic orchestras and training abroad, Corleto has been a prominent figure in the musical world for over a decade.

The evening began with a brilliant overture by Fanny Mendelssohn. Next, the OSN continued its tribute with Johann Hummel’s Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra, featuring Telma Díaz as the soloist. The night reached its pinnacle with a performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s 4th Symphony in G minor. Maestro Corleto led the orchestra filling the conservatory with the vibrant energy of Mozart’s music.
Maestro Corleto closed the evening with a reminder that no space in society is complete without the presence, strength, and talent of women.
